Special Musical Visit from past pupil Cara Traynor

21st Mar 2025
Yesterday we were delighted to have our very talented past pupil Cara Traynor in for a visit to play some tunes on her fiddle for Seactain na Gaeilge. Cara began playing fiddle here in St Patrick's Senior School as part of our Music Making Matters project and has gone on to join the local Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann group in Blanchardstown. She was joined by Colm & Paula Hanley and other fabulous young musicians from the Craobh Shlí Dhála branch. As well as the fiddle, they showed us a variety of Irish traditional instruments such as the whistle, concertina, flute, harp and button accordion and played us some lovely tunes.
If, like Cara, you (or your child) are interested in joining up with the local Irish music group at Craobh Shlí Dhála please contact Mr Cunningham or Ms Mulderrig in St Patrick's SNS for more information.
We are looking forward to having lots of our past pupils coming back to entertain us in the future.
Míle buíochas le Colm, Paula agus na páistí ó Craobh Shlí Dhála Comhaltas as ucht an gceol bríomhar ☘
