13/9/23 St.Patrick’s SNS V Virgin Mary Boys NS, Ballymun
The Junior boys Gaelic team kicked off their new season in Ballymun Kickham’s pitch this week. Although the boys didn’t have much time for training so early in the year, all the team were enthusiastic and positive throughout.
Virgin Mary Boys National School in Ballymun was our opposition on the first day out. They got off to a flying start and scored some early goals and points despite the best efforts of some ferocious defending from Viorel and Ryan. St. Patricks grew into the game and some great work from Jake to work the ball up the pitch gave Zyron the opportunity to score our first goal of the year! Zyron followed this up in the second half with two more brilliant finishes to the net to finish with a hattrick! A special mention must go out to Hamza in goal who was superb throughout! Virgin Mary Boys finished strong and won the game but both Mr C.O’Flynn and Mr.Galvin were impressed with the effort and attitude from the whole team.
It was a great team performance and the team will continue to improve in the upcoming matches.
