Ms. O'Connor, 22/06/20 - 26/06/20

Dia daoibh,

I hope you’re all doing well! We’ve made it to the final week of the school year and while the last term has been a very unusual one, I would just like to take the chance to say how much I enjoyed the time we spent together in the classroom this year. I feel very fortunate to have been the teacher of such a wonderful class!

As it is the final week, we have decided as a school to put an emphasis on sport and physical activity, rather than written work. Please try to get at least an hour of exercise each day. This will keep you fit and healthy, as well as helping to clear your mind of any worries or anxiety. Keep an eye on our school’s e-Sports Day Padlet during the week for some ideas. There are already some great videos on it and more will be added throughout the week!

We are also continuing our Covid Moment photography competition this week. We would like lots of photos of your 'covid moment', a photo that will remind you of this unusual time. Please upload them to our school Padlet using the following link:

If staying indoors on rainy days is getting you down, why not try taking a virtual tour of the President’s House, Áras an Uachtaráin or exploring the wonders of the National Gallery of Ireland

Of course, if you find yourself missing written work, we have a few pages left in our Mental Maths and Spellbound which you can work through at your own pace!

Lastly, if you have not already returned your school books to the school, please do so this week. The four books you must return are Busy at Maths, Reading Zone, A Way With Words and Where on Earth.

Slán libh,

Ms. O’Connor
