Ms. C. Kelly - 1st June Weekly Assignments

Hello there,

I hope you are all safe and well. The weather has been absolutely beautiful here in Donegal, I hear the sun has been shining with all of you in Corduff too. The sunshine is beautiful to have but please remember to put on plenty of suncream, drink plenty of water and take a good long break from the sun in a nice, cool shady spot every so often.

It's hard to believe we're into our final month of schoolwork and it's now June! You may notice that we're into some of our final chapters in the books we've been using. I used to get so excited when I was in primary school to see the end of some of my books. It gave me great hope that summer was near and a nice little break from all the hard work was so close. I'm sure you're no different. As we move through June, we will start to wind down and reduce some of the work just like we would if we were in our school in Corduff, especially in a written sense. You'll notice a change in the work assignments from next week as a result.

Keep up all the great work you're doing and make sure you're being the best son or daughter you can be at home. Help out in any little ways you can and remember to say, 'thanks' for all the lovely things your family do for you.

On a final note, here's a little image Sarah shared with me on Seesaw. She planted a sunflower seed and it's already starting to grow. There's something so promising about seeing those little green shoots coming up. Brighter days are most certainly on the way and there's a greater feeling of hope in the air right across Ireland. Hopefully by the time we see that beautiful bright sunflower in full blossom, all our staying at home and changes we've had to make will continue to pay off.

Take care,

Ms. C. Kelly.
