Ms. C. Kelly - 15th June Weekly Assignments

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all well. Well done to Joshua on winning the Hope Bake-Off and to Maxim in coming runners up. Congratulations again to anyone who took part in the competition, I hope you all enjoyed your cupcake Jessica made especially for you. A special well done to Martin in our class this week. I'm so impressed by how he kept up his school work even though he found it difficult to get on the Aladdin app. I was so happy to see him connected to our Seesaw app and quickly get involved in our class's journal, congratulating Joshua on his Bake-Off win shortly after he joined the app only last week. Well done Martin!

A special well done to all the wonderful creations in the Art competition this week. Catherine in our class was the very first entry on the Padlet and since then, I can see a few other familiar faces from our class that is so great to see. Check out the Padlet here if you'd like to take a look at the other entries for ideas: https://padlet.com/stpatssns1/vctydrw3268in590.Remember it's okay if you don't get around to making something out of household items or a chance to enter. I know home can be a very busy place and everyone is doing their best; That's all I can ever ask for.

Above is a sample of some of the entries from Catherine and Sara in our class.

As I mentioned last week, the work I'm setting for you is reducing as we near the end of our school year in 4th class. We're finished with Busy at Maths, Reading Zone and Spellbound now. We are doubling up on Mental Maths however to aim to get that workbook finished before the end of term. DEAR time is also so important. 10mins a day will go a long way. Mr. D. O'Flynn found some brilliant websites to let you have virtual tours. They're assigned as activities for Monday and Tuesday on Seesaw but here's the links for anyone who'd like to use them in your own time:

· Google Treks

· Unleash your inner explorer with the exciting Google Treks resource. Click on the location you want to explore, then interact with the information or check out the street view & maps. There are incredible close-ups of unreachable places.

Don't forget, you'll be returning your books next week. Shekinah made a great point on Seesaw in that we need to remember to return our two library books too along with our Reading Zone, Busy at Maths and Am don Léamh.

Keep up all the great work,

Warmest regards from the hills of Donegal,

Ms. C. Kelly.
